The Forge
The Forge is where new agents come from. It is a catalogue of ready-made specialists that opens beside the chat, and a way of building one: you describe the job, your main assistant finds the closest matches, you pick one or have a role written from scratch, and the agent is built in one go. You never fill in a form.
The catalogue
Say "I need someone for our recruitment", or click New agent on Manage > Agents (/agents).
The Forge opens in the preview pane as a gallery of tiles, grouped by trade. Player One ships 77 specialists across 13 categories: a bookkeeper, a recruitment specialist, a technical writer, a market researcher, an SEO specialist, a customer service agent and many more. Five of them are built to face the public and are marked with a shield.
When you describe what you need, your assistant searches the catalogue and narrows the gallery to the closest few. Click a tile, or say "show me the second one", and the gallery gives way to a preview: what that specialist does, what it is good at, what it will not do, and the skills it comes with. Say "back" to return to the tiles. The catalogue is for looking; nothing is built until you say so.
If an agent you already have covers the need, your assistant says so before building a near duplicate.
Settling the shape
Before building, your assistant asks one round of questions in a single message, never a drip of them: which project the agent belongs to, whether it needs its own memory or shares one, which shared workspaces it should reach, which saved accounts its work needs, and, if you run teams, which team it joins. For an agent that will face customers it also asks which channel it answers on and what it needs to know. Anything you have already said is skipped, and it never asks you to type a secret into the chat.
Pack skills are a baseline. If the job needs something the specialist does not come with, "fluent in Portuguese", say, your assistant offers to find it in the skill marketplace first.
The build
Say "yes, make it".
Everything happens in one pass. The new agent gets its role, the pack's skills, a face and a name, a workspace, a memory space and its place in the project, and for a customer-facing agent its channel and its knowledge. Then you are handed two links: the agent's own page and its chat.
An internal specialist introduces itself. Its first chat is a short meeting where it asks how you like the work done, and what it learns there goes into its memory. A customer-facing agent never onboards itself, because the first person to message it could be a customer: your assistant gathers what it needs from you, sets it up, confirms it answers properly, and only then hands it over.
Built from scratch
When nothing in the catalogue fits, say so. Your assistant writes the role itself from what you have described, and the agent is built the same way, with no pack. You choose its face from a pool of spare ones. A ready-made specialist is a persona, not a starting kit, so a near miss is worse than starting clean: an agent forged from the wrong pack keeps answering as that persona however its role is edited.
You can also add templates of your own, a written role or a whole pack, and they appear in the gallery beside the built-in ones. Ask your assistant.
One agent, many jobs
Arriving with a hiring list, "an SEO specialist, a copywriter, an email marketer, a social media manager", is a habit from hiring people, and it does not carry over. One agent runs many jobs at once, and what makes an agent valuable is the experience it accumulates: its memory, its knowledge, your corrections. Spread one craft across five near-identical agents and none of them learns anything. Your assistant will say so and suggest two or three covering genuinely different work. Splitting later is cheap; merging two shallow histories is impossible.
Who can forge
Only your main assistant creates, changes or retires agents. No agent can widen its own permissions or make itself a colleague, and a new agent always lands in the project of the chat that asked for it. From Telegram or WhatsApp there is no gallery: your assistant describes the options in words and builds the one you choose.
Where to see it
Manage > Agents (/agents) has a card for every agent and the New agent button that opens a Forge chat. An agent's own page (/agents/<name>) shows what it was built with: its profile, skills, workspace, projects and settings.
